September update

Here is the updated chart with September’s numbers (click to enlarge).

 September chart

September

  • Goal: 24.7 miles
  • Actual: 85.1 miles (345%)

If August was huge, September was even bigger.  Longer runs, Tennessee hills, cooler temps, and yearly goals met.

The highlights of the month include:

  • Running in Percy Warner Park (Nashville, TN) with Cletus, having Trent as our guide.
  • Meeting my mileage goal for 2007.  In January, I’d decided that 300 miles sounded like a nice round number.  When March came and I had less than 30 miles covered, I wasn’t so sure I’d make it.  But last Sunday (9/23), I made it over the hump.  Now everything for the rest of the year is icing on the cake.
  • Allowing my brain to be okay with an unscheduled day off. It happens sometimes.  I said this last month, too, but I think it’s still true.  I missed at least one workout a week this month, but I’ve managed to remain injury free and healthy so I’m not complaining.

October may not be quite as big mileage-wise, but there is that little race on October 21st coming up that will be a bit of a big deal.

Thanks for stopping by. See you out there.
