No run Thursday *gasp*

Based on the criteria established on Monday, I figured I’d be running last night.

Well, I didn’t.  Why?

I blame it on the @#$%&* leg press machine at Equivita.  Prior to Wednesday, I’d never done more than 270 lbs.  After 10 minutes on the elliptical trainer (which already put a nice burn in my legs), we (and by we I mean I) did 12 reps of 360 lbs on the leg press, followed by 30 reps at 270 lbs.

Yowza.  Over 6 tons lifted in less than eight minutes.  Needless to say, my quads and hamstrings were sore yesterday and it hasn’t gone away yet this morning.  I’m not planning on running today either.  Tomorrow I’ll probably get my speedwork in as prescribed, but I have a feeling that this pain won’t be completely gone tomorrow.

Advil, here I come.
