In an occassionally revived visual representation of how far I’ve run in 2008, here is a map showing my progress:
So I’ve made it all the way through Indiana, and now Illinois, and have just now escaped St. Louis to find myself in the small town of Foristell, MO. This town of 331 acquired it’s very own police force in 1997.

Way to go! St. Louis is the big hump on a cross-country trip. If you can run into Kansas, you will have made some real progress over the course of a year. Keep going!

Thanks, Aaron! When I don’t do these updates so regularly, it’s amazing how “fast” I seem to move!
Every mile I set is a new annual record for me, which is kind of cool. I’d like to get into and through Kansas by the end of the year, but I’m just taking it one step at a time… whatever is best for the team… I’m just happy to be here.
Good to see that you’re back on track, too.

Wow! I’ll have to figure out where I would be. Keep up the good work.
